Summer Fair
Our summer fair last year was on July 12th. It was a huge success
raising £982 for Community Outreach and Down Syndrome Education.
There were lots of stalls including books, plants and toys. We
also had tea and cakes for a well needed refreshment, a BBQ, Bric-a-brac,
a raffle, bottle stall and a ball pool and bouncy castle for the
children, plus lots more. We had a dance presentation by Wessex
Dance who entertained a large audience.
The weather was perfect - not too hot or too cold, and we had
over 300 people join us for the fun.
The organisation came from the congregation, and many people came
to help set up in the morning, and our catering manager arrived
early to provide tea for the workers.
This is a yearly event, changing the charities we support each
year, but always having fun and enjoying what we do.
