Self Catering Holiday Flat:
The flat is ideal for a summer holiday or a short winter
break. It is well equipped, warm and comfortable and fully
heated throughout the winter months.
It is situated within walking distance of: a clean, sandy
‘Blue Flag’ beach and local shops, with good access
to the New Forest, the Purbeck Hills, the historic harbour
towns of Christchurch and Poole and all the attractions of
Bournemouth, including day coach trips.
The mainline station of Pokesdown is 20 minutes walk from
the flat and gives access to the cathedral cities of Winchester
and Salisbury as well as the Dorset coastal resort of Weymouth,
and Dorchester the hometown of Thomas Hardy the writer. The
historic cities of Southampton and Portsmouth and the New
Forest port of Lymington – with ferries to the Isle
of Wight – are also accessible by train.
The Accommodation:
• Lounge / diner with gas fire, night storage heater,
radio cassette player, colour television, two sofas, tourist
information, books and jigsaws.
• A fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave,
toaster, gas cooker and washing machine.
• The main bedroom has 3 single beds, wardrobe and
a set of drawers, and the second bedroom has 2 single beds.
• The cost of gas, electricity and water is included
in the rent.
• A cot, highchair, and pushchair are available at
no extra charge.
• The flat has its own outside door facing the road
and an internal access staircase
• There is ample car parking, but we ask that during
term time you park beyond the pre – school barriers,
(Between 10.30am and 12noon).
Further Information:
• A none returnable deposit of £30 for one week
and £15 for each additional week is required at the
time of booking, the balance is payable one month before your
visit.
• Duvets, pillowcases and pillows are provided, but
we ask that you sleep between two sheets to protect the duvet
covers.
• Please note that the flat is non-smoking, but dogs
are welcome to stay at an extra cost of £6 per stay.
• Linen may be hired from £6 per bed; most visitors
bring their own. Please remember to also bring your own towels
including tea towels.
• The flat is self-contained, purpose built and is
above one of our church halls.

Terms and Conditions:
• The flat is available for renting by members of the
United Reformed Church for purposes of recreation and relaxation.
• Reservation Priority:
Ministers, church workers and students for the ministry may
make advanced reservations. Others may only reserve dates
up to 6 months ahead. The dates deleted on the price list
are those, which are already booked.
• Discounts:
Provided that they are the principal earners in the family
the following categories are entitled to discounts as set
out below:-
• 30% - Ministers ministering to URC congregations
• 50% - Students in training for the ministry
• 50% - Retired ministers. Ministers’ widows/widowers
visiting the flat outside school holidays
• 50% - Church workers on salaries below those of a
minister’s stipend.
